The engine skid plate complements the winch installation, providing additional protection for sensitive components. The solid, rust-free stainless steel protective plate, precisely laser-cut and accurately bent, effectively prevents damage to the lower front of the vehicle from hidden obstacles on the trail, such as rocks in the sand or tree stumps in thick vegetation. Depending on the model and year of the G-Class, the engine skid plate is a sensible option or a must-have as an alternative mounting location for the standard oil cooler, whose space is occupied by the winch.
