The BorgWarner SXE 64.47 better known as the 64.5 works great for all stock and modified diesel pick-ups. Towing power is increased as well as lower EGTs over stock charger trucks. For stock application 6.0, 6.4, 5.9 and 6.6 diesel trucks use .91 housing. For modified applications ( bigger injectors, cam, head work),stock 7.3 diesel applications, OR 6.6 Duramax applications use 1.0 housing. On a stock application 6.0 and 5.9 with .91 housing weve seen first hand spool time at about 1500-1800 rpm depending on tuning and gear ratio. For a mild upgrade to 650hp this charger supports it all!
For Ford 6.0 Diesel applications this unit is a strait bolt in using your factory intake, downpipe, and intercooler piping while using a T4 mount kit. No other modification is needed and works with most aftermarket 4 downpipes.
For 5.9, 6.6, 6.4, and 7.3 diesel applications this unit requires modified intake, downpipe, intercooler pipes and mounting.
For all applications we recommend you use custom tuning.
