This Bird Insect Spray for Mites and Lice is a ready-to-use spray formulated to help control feather mites and lice on caged birds and in their environment. Mites and lice are common parasites in caged bird setups, and infestations can cause intense irritation as well as lead to anaemia and disease transmission if left untreated. The active ingredient is pyrethrin (0.5 g/L), a naturally derived insecticidal compound from Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium that targets the nervous systems of insects. Piperonyl butoxide (5 g/L) is included as a synergist to improve the effectiveness of the pyrethrin. APVMA Approval No: 94944/144276.

The spray is active against feather mites (Protolichus and Dubininia spp.) and lice (Mallophaga sp.), and may also help impart a gloss to the plumage after treatment. It is suitable for all caged birds and can be used on both the bird and the surrounding environment. Always follow label directions for safe and correct use. Please note that resistance to any chemical treatment may develop over time.
