Filling Your Mini Silo

At 140cm tall, the mini silo can be a challenge to fill, especially when feed comes in heavy 20kg bags. A simple solution we recommend is to combine a stable mounting step with a large feed scoop (both sold separately).

1. Place a reliable step like theMount-Ease Mounting Block (sold separately) on the ground next to the silo. One like this with a wide base is a good option because it keeps steady on uneven ground.
2. Open your feed bag and use a big scoop such as aGalvanised Feed Scoop (sold separately). With such a large feed scoop, a 20kg bag can take just a few trips (depending on the density of the feed).
3. Step up onto the Mount-Ease to transfer the feed into the silo. This brings the silo opening down to a comfortable height.
